Over the past few years Avaya has developed their 'IP Office' range of phone systems, some of the systems which the IP500 superceded are Avaya IP Office 406, 412 and Small Office Edition. Now the Avaya IP500 is the only system Avaya offers to small to medium sized businesses (4-380+ extensions) due the new IP500's flexible architecture in terms of scalability and applications.
