All Polycom KIRK DECT wireless solutions are modular, add-on voice communication solutions. They are GAP compliant systems, based on the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) technology, and are compatible with most existing traditional and VoIP telephony platforms.

Polycom KIRK 7010
Designed specifically for healthcare applications, the 7010 is IP54 rated, is disinfectant resistant and features an alarm button enabling users to summon asssitance if required.

Polycom KIRK 6040

The advanced solution for heavy industrial users, lone workers and other workers in high risk, harsh environment. In addition to the features of the 6020, the 6040 also supports Bluetooth headset support and a range of advanced personal safety options.

The KIRK 5040 offers the same features as the KIRK 5020, but supports connection to Bluetooth headsets in place of a headset jack.

Polycom KIRK 4080
The KIRK 4080 is the ultimate Dect Cordless handset for environments with special conditions and regulations. The KIRK 4080 has the same features as the KIRK 4040, but also features an IEC/Ex rating for intrinsic safety and is ATEX and IEC approved according to European and International Standards. The 4080 has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The KIRK 4080 is targeted at potentially explosive work environments. Areas of application include, but are not restricted to, oil, gas and chemical production as well as dust-filled environments within the wood-processing, ingredients and food industries

DECT Wireless Handsets
KIRK DECT offers a wide choice of high quality DECT wireless handsets, providing users with greater flexibility to tailor a solution to match their exact needs. From the robust entry-level 4020 handset, all the way up to the EX rated (intrinsically safe) 4080 for use in potentially explosive environments, there is a handset to suit every user. Importantly, all Kirk Dect Wireless handsets are able to receive and display SMS text messages.

Wired Base Stations

  • Up to 128 bases supported (system dependant)
  • Supports 4 simultaneous conversations for the KIRK DECT 1500, (6 for the KIRK DECT 500 and 12 for the KIRK DECT 600v3IP)
  • Cabled via single twisted pair (no local power required)
  • Can be up to 1km from KIRK DECT Wireless Server

Wireless Repeaters

  • Up to 128 wireless repeaters per system (system dependant)
  • Supports 2 or 4 simultaneous conversations (repeater dependant)
  • Requires no telephone cabling (local AC power required)
  • Up to three repeaters can be linked in a "multijump"

PABX/VOIP Kirk Dect Systems

KIRK DECT Wireless Servers are able to interface to virtually any PABX or IP voice platform, including:

  • Analogue
  • IP (Cisco CallManager and CallManager Express, H323)
  • QSIG ISDN
  • Digital E&M

Not only do multiple interfaces ensure compatibility with most voice platforms, but this also enables KIRK users who upgrade from a traditional PABX to an ISDN or IP telephony platform to protect their investment in their KIRK DECT Wireless Servers. All KIRK DECT wireless infrastructure (radio base stations, wireless repeaters, handsets and cabling) can be retained; depending on the KIRK DECT Wireless Server used, simply replace either the analogue interface cards or main controller with its IP or QSIG ISDN equivalent.

The capability of KIRK DECT systems to deliver SMS text messages to KIRK DECT cordless handsets means KIRK DECT Wireless Servers provide much more functionality than just wireless PABX extensions, providing an integrated wireless voice and messaging solution suitable for almost all industry applications. Text messages can be sent to individuals or groups, alarms can be raised from KIRK DECT wireless handsets and handsets have the capacity to store up to 14 SMS messages in memory.
