Mitel IP Phones can be configured in a resilient fashion with automatic failover to ensure that phones remain in service even if a connection to a Mitel 3300 ICP controller is lost during a network problem or major outage. Multiple resilient Mitel 3300 controllers can be located on the LAN or WAN so as back-ups in the event the primary is inaccessible, or a single Mitel 3300 ICP can provide resilience capabilities for a number of other 3300 ICPs. Because of the high level of feature transparency, users retain the services they have on their primary controller. Management updates to the system database are automatically managed through the System Data Synchronization (SDS) capability, ensuring each Mitel 3300 ICP in the network is updated as required.
